Robert Paquin
Robert Paquin most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at Blue Nile, Inc., the leading on-line diamond and fine jewelery retailer, where Mr. Paquin served from September 1999 through December 2005.  From May 1994 to September 1999, Mr. Paquin served as Vice President of Information Services and Senior Vice President of Operations and Information Services at L.L. Bean, Inc., a clothing retailer. From 1992 to 1994, Mr. Paquin served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Hanover Direct, Inc., a consumer catalog retailer. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Paquin served as Vice President of Information Service and Operations at Tweeds, Inc., an apparel catalog company. Mr. Paquin holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Southern Oregon State College.

Herbert Henzler
Dr. Professor Herbert Henzler is Chairman of the Credit Suisse (Deutschland) Advisory Board and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Credit Suisse Group. He is Professor of Strategy and Organization at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat Munchen since 1992, former Chairman Europe and Head of McKinsey in Europe till 2001. He serves on the boards of Schloemann-Siemag, Freiberger KG, Freshfields, FC Bayern Munich and Munich University (LMU). He is also Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council that advises the Bavarian government on educational, science and technology policy. Dr. Henzler is the author of many books and articles on strategic management, as well as social and economic policy.

Kyle J. Levine
Kyle Levine is the Founder & Principal Consultant of MobileVines LLC, a wireless and digital media consulting company. MobileVines provides marketing, alliance partnering, channel selection and management, and strategy consulting to publicly-traded and privately-held companies in the wireless data, digital media and consumer electronics industry segments.

Mr. Levine is a recognized marketing and business development leader, with 12 years of successful multi-national experience in Europe, Asia and the US. Most recently he led all aspects of the Consumer Data Services business at T-Mobile USA, driving industry-leading Mobile Web and Content revenue in excess of $1B annually. Mr. Levine launched and/or led many industry pioneering services while at T-Mobile, including “mastertones”, “ringback tones”, direct to consumer (D2C) services and many aspects of the company’s “Mobile Web”.

Prior to T-Mobile, Mr. Levine founded the wireless group at RealNetworks, successfully leading a global effort to develop the mobile media ecosystem and pioneering the, now market-leading, mobile media platform. Earlier in his career, he worked in OEM sales and marketing at Microsoft.

Mr. Levine has a proven track record of identifying, nurturing and closing hundreds of partnerships, alliances and licensing agreements. He has extensive experience initiating, developing and marketing significant and innovative relationships with and among major media players, technology enterprises, telecommunications companies and device manufacturers. Mr. Levine is a proven innovator who has demonstrated the ability to define strategy, build and inspire teams, bring products to market and achieve revenue goals measured in billions of dollars annually.

Mr. Levine earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Political Science from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, after transferring from the University of California at Berkeley, where he began his undergraduate education.

Tom Ederer
Tom has 14 years experience advising and operating technology start-ups, most recently as SVP of Business Development and Finance and Mobliss, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Index Corporation, the largest mobile content company in Japan.

With Mobliss, Tom was responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of the company after initially being hired to help negotiate the sale of the company to Index.

Prior to Mobliss, Tom worked at Intellectual Ventures and OpenDesign as Director of Finance. Tom was responsible for strategic planning and financial management at OpenDesign, a distributed computing software platform start-up. At Intellectual Ventures, Tom helped raise over $300M for two intellectual property funds. Tom began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and is a graduate of the University of Washington.

John Robertson
John W. Robertson joined the law firm of Heller & Ehrman in 2003, following the merger with Venture Law Group, and has a practice focused on emerging technology companies, venture capital firms and investment banks. He is a member of the firm’s Corporate Securities, M&A and VLG practice.  Mr. Robertson serves as the Chair of the Business Department for the Northwest offices.

Mr. Robertson represents clients in a wide range of transactions, including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing transactions, corporate partnerships, commercial agreements and venture capital financings, as well as general corporate matters. His practice focuses on the corporate representation of technology and life sciences companies, both public and private. He has worked with a wide variety of clients in the software, wireless, telecommunications, medical device and biotechnology industries. Mr. Robertson has been listed for a number of years in the Washington Law & Politics survey of best corporate lawyers in the State of Washington.

Mr. Robertson has represented such venture capital firms as Frazier Healthcare, Frazier Technology, Ignition Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Northwest Venture Associates, OVP Venture Partners, Polaris Ventures and SeaPoint Ventures.

Prior to joining Heller Ehrman, Mr. Robertson was a founding member of Venture Law Group's Kirkland, WA office in 1996.

Dave Sampson
Vice President of Marketing, Sampa. Mr. Sampson helps bring emerging technologies to market. He has over fifteen years' experience developing market strategies, managing products and building brands for early-stage technology companies. Prior to joining Sampa, Mr. Sampson led product development and marketing for several startups and established software companies. He and his wife have a daughter who asks why there aren't any "boys-cheese sandwiches" and a son who doesn't like "soil and vinegar" salad dressing.

As the Director of Marketing for MixMeister Technology, an audio software startup, Mr. Sampson was responsible for the identification, definition and launch of new digital media products. Additionally, he was instrumental in the sale of the company in 2007. Before this, Mr. Sampson was responsible for building worldwide revenue for a $40M line of business at NetManage, an enterprise software company, and he was a co-founder of Ultrazone, an innovative entertainment technology provider.

Mr. Sampson also serves as an advisor to startups and teaches marketing for the University of Washington's Software Product Management Certificate Program. He holds a BA in Social Philosophy from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Washington.
